šŸŽ‰šŸ¤« Shhh... It's been an Underground Staff Spirit Week here at Vassar Public Schools, and it’s been a blast! Our amazing K-12 staff came together for a week of fun and laughter, all while keeping our students guessing about what was happening. šŸ•µļøā€ā™‚ļøšŸ‘€ Here’s a peek at our spirit-filled days: 🟫 Monday - Mad About Plaid: We started strong by rocking our favorite plaid—subtle, yet statement-worthy! šŸ Tuesday - Season/Holiday Fun: Our staff got crafty by celebrating different seasons and holidays (minus Halloween)! 🄤 Wednesday - Anything But a Cup Day: Sipping coffee and water from anything but a cup? Challenge accepted! We saw everything from teapots to PE cones— šŸˆ Thursday - Pro-Sports Team & Jeans: Our halls were filled with team spirit as staff showed off their favorite pro-sports gear or dressing up for the MS Halloween dance in their Inside Out costumes! šŸŽƒ Friday - Game Day & Festivities: We are finally letting students in on the fun! A friendly MSU/UM showdown for the 6-12 building, plus a dash of Halloween spirit for K-5—what a perfect way to wrap up the week! A huge thank you to everyone for participating and building such amazing camaraderie across the district. We can’t wait to share more laughs and memories together! šŸ§”šŸ–¤šŸ¤

Yesterday, our 10th-grade students visited the MiCareerQuest event. The event provided students with the opportunity to engage with interactive displays highlighting diverse career pathways and talk to employers about the skills and education required for success in their respective fields. Several employers from key industry sectors in Michigan provided students with an interactive, hands-on experience to learn about various Michigan careers that are high in demand.

We wanted to share an awesome accomplishment from our own Mrs. Frahm! Last week, Mrs. Frahm ran her first marathon! Mrs. Frahm ran the Probility Ann Arbor Marathon on 10/13/24 with her husband, Bryce. She finished the 26.2 mile run in 4 hours and 36 minutes and has never felt more accomplished. Even though it rained nearly the entire time and was cold, it was an incredible experience for her! When asked why she decided to run a marathon, she answered, "A saying I heard, ā€œyou can’t do hard things, unless you do hard things,ā€ it really made her think about how life will be challenging. She wanted to complete a marathon to prove to herself that she can do hard things now and in her future." Great job Mrs. Frahm! Way to do hard things!
