Congratulations to Mr. Schuler! Brady Schuler has been honored by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) with the title of Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction. This prestigious recognition comes as a result of Brady's dedication to learning and outstanding commitment to the teaching profession. Nominated by 11th grader Kylie Panzner, Brady is celebrated for serving as a role model within the Vulcan Community and for the significant difference he continues to make in shaping the lives of the students at Vassar Public Schools.
Submission Nomination from Kylie:
Mr. Schuler is an amazing teacher who makes a personal connection with all of his students. He's funny, he's kind, and most importantly he's an amazing person. He runs the Vassar Delegation of Youth In Government. He leads all his students through step by step and always makes sure that they are where they should be. He pushes his students to become the best people they can be, and every day, he inspires someone new. He has a new joke to make you laugh every day. He checks in on you if he thinks you're off or something is wrong. He will check on every single one of his students to make sure they're okay. He excels in teaching. And he's passionate about his teaching. He is an overall amazing person and teacher which is why he deserves this award.
Thank you to Brady Schuler for his commitment and service to Vassar Public Schools and to Kylie Panzner for taking the time to acknowledge and nominate Mr. Schuler for this award.

Our students have been doing an amazing job, so for the month of September, we couldn't pick just 2. We wanted to recognize 6 students for doing an amazing job and practicing their Vulcan Values.
Krystina Velasco (12th)
Krystina is very responsible and she already has the requirements to be a paramedic. She always has a great attitude and a smile.
Daveon Parker (7th)
While in the cafeteria, Daveon noticed a 6th-grade student sitting alone. He approached the student, had a conversation, and then invited him to join Daveon and his friends.
Maya Cudd (6th
Maya is a wonderful friend and academic peer support for her classmates. She serves as a great role model and is always willing to lend a helping hand to get her classmates back on track. She ensures to involve them in conversations.
Bailey Smith (8th)
Bailey demonstrates kindness to her classmates by ensuring everyone feels included, making her a valuable team player.
Carmen Hernadez (10th)
Carmen has been working extremely hard in class to understand concepts to get help when she needs it. She has greatly improved in her desire to succeed academically and it is showing in the classroom.
Harrison Costanza (8th)
Harrison was waiting in the office for his father when he noticed Mrs. Porritt cleaning the office door window. He opened the door and asked Mrs. Porritt if she would like him to clean the inside of the glass for her. He then held out his hand for her to hand over the supplies. Harrison is always polite and kind when he is in the office, and this was definitely going above and beyond with this kind gesture.
We would like to express our gratitude to Vassar True Value for their ongoing support of this program and the development of our students and community. The winners receive a certificate to redeem at the store and also receive a prize. These students were all nominated by a staff member who recognized their outstanding contributions.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
To ensure that your children continue to receive free lunch and breakfast, it is essential that all families complete the Education Benefits Form (EBF). We are aiming for 100% participation from our families, as this form is required to maintain our funding for these free meal programs.
The EBF forms (blue) were included in the folders handed out during Open House. We greatly appreciate those who have already submitted the form. However, if you havenāt yet completed it, please do so as soon as possible. We need one (1) form per family/household.
Here are the ways you can complete the form:
Digital Submission: Fill out the form online using this link and email it to pchesny@vassar.k12.mi.us.
Print and Return: Print the attached form and return it to your childās school office.
In-Person Pickup: Forms will be available at Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 10th.
Office Pickup: Forms are available in both the 6-12 and Central offices.
Your timely response is crucial, as we are approaching the deadline for compliance. If you havenāt completed the form yet, please submit it as soon as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation!
