Help Wanted!
Due to unfortunate circumstances, our photo booth company for prom is unable to attend! If you or someone you know has a photo booth that is available tomorrow, please contact Leah Parker at laparker@vassar.k12.mi.us

Monday, join the Downtown Development Association in dedicating the fountain in Veteran's Park!

Thank you to Emilee Dembowske for organizing a drive safe for the prom project for SADD! Check out the car from a drunk driving accident in the parking lot across from the high school. Thank you 10 Point Towing for providing us with the car to show the severity of the bad choice of getting behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or distracted driving!
Drive safe and make good decisions before you get behind the wheel of a car on prom night and always Vassar Students!

Happy last day of school senior class of 2024!
Thank you for a great year, we are so proud of each of you.

Big āShout Outā to Great Lakes Dental Bus for offering free dental assessments at our Kindergarten Roundup!

8th grade semi-formal 2024 last Friday! Such a great event to end the year with for our 8th graders before they move on to high school! Thank you to all of the staff that made this event possible!

The Class of 2024 keeps us on our toes! They celebrated their last full day of school with a sunrise breakfast and spent the day at the Vassar 6-12 beach! Congratulations to all of our Seniors!

Congratulations to our Be A Star Winners for March and April!
March Winners
Mason Ferris (12th)
Mason holds the door open for his fellow tech students every day while entering the high school after returning from tech. His gesture of kindness to his peers is an awesome example of our Vulcan Values.
Clara Hammon (9th)
Clara found a $10 bill in the hallway, she promptly turned it into the office. This demonstration of integrity is commendable for someone her age, as many students would have put the money in their pockets without telling anyone.
We have had so many great stars in the month of April that we wanted to recognize 4 of them from the 6-12 building!
April Winners
Sam Periso (11th)
Sam is a "Rock Star" in chemistry class! Despite facing various adversity in life, Sam does an awesome job paying attention, participating in labs, and having a fun attitude in class. Whether it's dealing with life's challenges, or taking on a challenging class, Sam rises to the occasion.
Kendra Bragg (10th)
Kendra is always polite and kind to all her peers and teachers. She displays a genuine love of learning and is willing to work hard to understand tough concepts.
Carson McTaggart (8th)
Carson works hard and stays on task until the job is finished correctly. He is a hard worker who represents our Vulcan Values. He never says no when asked to help others.
Mathiew Johnson (8th)
Mathiew is always willing to help out his peers and even lends a hand to his teachers. He is a model citizen for his fellow students.

Vassar National Honor Society is holding a can drive. All depositable tin/glass bottles are welcome. Please reach out to Mrs. Shepherd at the HS, or a NHS member to donate.
Thank you for your support!

The 6th and 8th grade science classes worked on collaborative posters for Earth Day. Each student was given one of the 25 parts to color to put together a collaborative poster of their parts. The students were excited to see them put together and see how their one piece fit into the whole poster. They did a great job with this activity and now can enjoy their work in the middle school hallway.

Mr. Tallman and his 7th grade students released 85 salmon into our beautiful Cass River on Tuesday!

A special thank you to Norm's Heating and Cooling's owner Norm Jobson for spoiling our staff for Staff Appreciation Week with yummy gigantic cinnamon rolls from McPherson's! It was a wonderful addition to the leftovers from our VIP's luncheon yesterday!
