Vassar will host our first Careers Without Debt Night on Monday Sept 26th from 6-8pm in the cafeteria. This is a great opportunity to talk to Trades Apprenticeship programs, Military recruiters, and local employers. Each of them are ready to talk to you about good-paying careers that don't require classes or traditional college, or about ways to pay for college without loans.
This event is open to the community and we'd love to see anyone interested in a better career there.
Don't miss out on this chance to learn about other ways to build a great life. Contact Mr. Hewitt at shewitt@vassar.k12.mi.us with any questions you might have.

*A super shout-out to the group of students that cleaned up the garbage from the student section after Friday night's football game without even being asked! Seniors Gabby Smith, Kaylee Kennard, Sophomores Alessa Loree & Makenna McCloud, and Freshman Lydia Keipinger, way to show your school spirit ladies! We also had another group of gentlemen that cleaned up the mess from the student section at the home volleyball game last week without even being asked! A special thank you to Lou's Market for the fall decorations! The decorations really make our entrances look great!

At the 6-12 building's first staff meeting yesterday, the teaching staff made collective resumes by department! As a team, we have 450 years of teaching experience, a wide variety of professional degrees, and a whole lot of strengths. Putting this on paper proved what we already knew: Our Vassar Staff is Amazing! Go Vulcans!

At 2:02 PM the Central Building contacted the fire department after the office identified a scent of smoke. To be cautious, all students and staff were evacuated while the Fire Department identified the cause. All students and staff are safe and have returned to the building. Dismissal will proceed normally at each building.
