• Specialized Programs

  • e2020 provides core and elective instruction in a virtual school settingfor students in grades 6-12. The courseware is aligned to state and national standards and helps students recover and accrue credits for graduation and prepare for state and key standardized tests.

    Compass Learningis a K-12 software-based curriculum which assesses each student’s understanding of key objectives. Based on this assessment, a student is automatically prescribed a personalized learning path filled with engaging activities. The CompassLearning Odyssey suite of learning solutions includes lessons and activities that are based on current and confirmed research about the way today's students think and learn. Odyssey curricula for secondary students facilitate Response to Intervention, differentiated and personalized instruction, and formative assessment that helps drive data-based decision making.

    GED preparation courses and testing are available on-site for eligible students. 

    Career Cruising is an industry-leading online career guidance and planning system. Students use the tools in Career Cruising to explore careers, explore education and training options, develop their Educational Development Plan (EDP), and build their resume.

    Key Train is the interactive training system for career readiness skills, based on the ACT’s WorkKeys assessment system and the National Career Readiness Certificate.

    Special Education services are provided by the Tuscola Intermediate School District through an inclusive model.

    School Social Workers provide support services to students with special needs, as well as work on school-wide positive behavior support. 

    Transition Classes teach students career readiness skills through the use of Career Cruising, Key Train, e2020, and guest speakers. 

    Vocational Training is available for students who complete transition class requirements.  Meat cutting certification is available on-site.  Culinary arts and custodial/maintenance skills are also available. 

    Credit Recovery is made available to motivated students willing to work

    additional hours during the school day.
