Principal Paul Wojno's Web Site Welcome

Welcome to the Vassar High School website.  We hope that this site will answer many of the questions you have about our high school, our academic program and our extra curricular activities.

Our campus population over the last few years has averaged 520 students with forty professional staff members supporting those students. Like the story of the three bears, we find that our campus is not too big and not too small, but just right for the various programs we offer our students. It is our goal as an administration to have programs and staffing in place to assure we never lose touch with an individual student, his/her goals or his/her needs while on our campus. By being able to provide a supporting and safe campus our students can focus on what they are here for - receiving an education that will open doors for the goals they have set for themselves.

Student goals are reached with commitment on their part and having a strong academic program in place to meet their commitment.  VassarHigh School has always concentrated on the solid fundamentals in the areas of English, math, science, social science and the arts. Once a strong foundation is in place any student can build on it throughout his/her life to reach potential. Accredited by the North Central Association since 1929, we have and will continue to meet the academic needs of our students for years to come.

Whether you have children in our school or not, everyone in this community has something they could offer the next generation.  NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw wrote a best selling book titled the “The Greatest Generation” in which he brought attention to the contributions and successes of a previous generation.  It is our hope that with the support of this community, Vassar High School will be able to provide the foundation for the next “Greatest Generation”.

I invite you to become an active part of our learning community here at VassarHigh School.
